Mick Jenkins and Kirk Knight On Tour

Kirk Knight and Mick Jenkins are on tour together! This pair are a perfect match. Mick Jenkins has been pro eras friend for a while and they seem to really support each others music. Kirk Knight is looked at as the ext runner up to come out with something huge, behind Joey. Pro Era fans would agree. I think that each member is equally talented but Kirk, has always been one of the members I wanted to hear more from.

Mick Jenkins is another artist I have been looking at for awhile. His "Waters" mixtape was amazing. My favorite song by him is "Martyrs" where he sends a powerful message to ur generation. He basically questions our mentality and why we rap/think about the things we do.

Take a listen to Martyrs:

I think that Kirk and Mick teaming up is great. I expect great shows from these two seeing that they seem to have the same energy. Unfortunately, they dont come around my city, so I cant go watch them. I will still definitely be keeping up with any tour videos!

Joey Bada$$ "Like Me" Official Video channels Police Shootings of Unarmed Black Men

With the recent release of his album "B4.DA.$$" Joey surprised his fans with a video for the song "Like me" featuring BJ the Chicago Kid. This actually happened to be one of my top three favorite songs on the album. I think the song has a very powerful message.

Joey premiered this song on The Tonight Show. He tackles social, political, and personal issues over a smooth instrumental. Then, his album released and it become a lot of fans’ favorite.

Joey gives his take on the recent shootings of unarmed black men by police, and on some of the baggage that comes with being black in America. "My way of protesting is through my music," he says.

In the video you see Joey get caught up with a girl, the man who is the girls ex is a hot head with a gun. Hes confronted by the hot headed guy and even still becomes a police target after the cops had already shot the guy and the girl. Joey, being a target gets confronted by the cops later in the day, holds his hands up, unarmed, and still gets shot.

About the video, Joey says "In the video, the hot-headed guy, he gets killed by the police with a gun in his hand. And me, the cool guy, who is away from all the violence, I still end up being mixed in the loop—just being a victim because of my surroundings or where I'm from."
"I pray that there is hope," he explains. "But even the fact that I have to dream like that is what's disturbing. My message is that it can happen to any one of us."

Kirk Knight "BrokeLand"

Our very own Prodie just put out his first song form his upcoming mixtape. Kirk Knight, earlier this year told twitter that 2015 would DEFINITELY be the year he releases a project. If youve been following the pros for awhile, you'll know that this has been the most anticipated project release out of all the pros. Nyck Caution and a few of the others are set to release projects also.

"Brokeland" by Kirk is a perfect tease. Kirk is one of the few producers if the group. This track shows not only his producing talent but his LYRICAL talent. He delivers a rough necked, 90's beat. He raps about the topic of his native Brooklyn, referring to it as “Brokeland"

The details about the rest of the project is still under wraps, but still take a listen to this gritty track:

Malia Obama Selfie Under Investigation

Pro Era Fans members and Fans were super shocked about the recent selfie that our very own Malia Obama took. It happened to be her wearing a Pro Era T-shirt which is super dope. Unfortunately, the selfie is under investigation because no one knows how it cam out. The white house released a statement about the issue and are looking into things. None of the members of Pro Era are being questioned because it seems they had nothing to do with it. In a recent interview with HOT 97 radio show, Joey Bada$$ said that a friend has sent him the picture but he had no idea where he got it from. The selfie has been all over social media since its release.
